Enrolments

Enrolment Information
At Woorinen District Primary School, enrolments are open for all year levels. Enrolment applications need to be submitted by the 26th of July for 2026 Foundation students.

Woorinen District Primary School is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Prep (Foundation) enrolments
The Department of Education has a state-wide Prep (Foundation) enrolment timeline, stating enrolments are due on 26th July of the calendar year before your child is starting school.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Prep (Foundation) at a Victorian government primary school, including Woorinen District Primary School.

To start primary school in 2026, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2026. Schooling is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

Come and Try Days

We host Come and Try Days during Term 2 and Transition to School in Term 3. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to become familiar with our school environment, meet the staff, and make new friends.

Planning Ahead

If you are planning to send your child to Woorinen District Primary School, please notify the office as soon as possible. Early notification helps us to plan effectively and ensure a smooth transition for your child.

Enrolment Requirements

It is a government requirement that all new enrolments present a proof of age certificate and an immunisation certificate at the time of enrolment.

We look forward to welcoming your child to our school community! If you have any questions or need further information, please contact our school office.
