Wellbeing
At Woorinen District Primary School, we are committed to supporting our students' wellbeing with a holistic approach. Our wellbeing program includes the Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program and the Mental, Emotional, Social & Spiritual Health (MESH) program, among other initiatives. These programs provide essential social and emotional learning opportunities for our students.
Additionally, we incorporate restorative practices, allowing students to voice their perspectives and take accountability for their actions, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy. By addressing harm and working towards resolution, students develop essential conflict resolution skills and learn the importance of making amends.
Wellbeing is integrated into our daily routines, discussions, and learning experiences. We cultivate a positive and supportive environment where students can thrive. By incorporating wellbeing practices throughout each day, we ensure that students develop respect, empathy, and resilience, providing a strong foundation for their personal and academic success.
Breakfast Club
At Woorinen District Primary School, we believe that a great day of learning starts with a healthy breakfast! Our Breakfast Club is run by dedicated parent volunteers and operates on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
Students can enjoy a range of nutritious food options, including:
✅ Toast with a variety of spreads
✅ Cereal options
✅ Fresh fruit and fruit cups
✅ Warm hot chocolates on chilly mornings ☕
The Breakfast Club provides a welcoming and inclusive space where students can start their day with a meal, connect with friends, and be ready to learn. All students are welcome, and there is no cost to participate.
A huge thank you to our amazing parent volunteers and to Foodbank’s School Breakfast Program for supplying the food that makes this initiative possible!
If you're interested in volunteering, please contact the school office.
We look forward to seeing you there! 🥣🍎🥪☕
